Forecasting System of Sales and Stock

Description

We are building a forecasting system which will predict the sales and inventory of retail stores in the garments sector. Essentially our project is based on multivariate time series analysis for predictive analysis. We are predicting sales and stocks based not just on their previous trend through time, but coupled with exogenous factors. A sales forecast is important because it leads to making better decisions. It helps to achieve a company's goals/desires. For our project, we reached out to B.B Textiles, a garment's company which has retail operations in Karachi and Lahore. They required a software service to facilitate them in this process rather than relying on their traditional approaches. Through our capstone project; we aim to provide B.B Textiles with an easy-to-use system to accurately predict sales and stock using machine learning techniques.
